Don Millward, a well-known resident of Osoyoos passed away at the age of 80 after a full life, and having lived courageously with Multiple Myeloma for several years.

He was born in 1941 in Vermilion AB, the only child of Sidney and Clara (Bothwell), and raised in Nakusp, BC, where his father was a local pharmacist. After high school graduation in Penticton, he attended UBC, following in his father’s footsteps to graduate in 1964 from the Faculty of Pharmacy. After he and Lynnda (Scott) married in 1966, they made their home in North Vancouver, and later West Vancouver where they raised their family. Don practised pharmacy in various locations until 1995 when the opportunity came to become associate/owner of the Shoppers Drug Mart in Osoyoos. He retired in 2005. Many will remember Don at the pharmacy for his outgoing and genial ways, always taking time to greet and chat with customers. In his more than 40 years of professional life he was actively involved with the B.C. Pharmacy Association, serving as President for 2 years, amongst other roles.

A large part of Don’s life was sports, watching or playing, with many good times spent skiing, or playing golf at the Osoyoos Golf Club, where he and Lynnda made many friends. Travel was a highlight of his life, with the family to all parts of the world, later on cruises with Lynnda.

To know Don was a privilege, and being in his company never failed to entertain. He’ll be remembered for his intelligent sense of humour, keen observations, hearty laugh, and excellent memory – especially regarding sports facts. Also for his occasional and endearing absent-mindedness. He loved his family- especially his three granddaughters, his friends, living in his Osoyoos home, his many excellent adventures, and his golden retriever dogs.

He leaves behind his devoted wife of 55 years, Lynnda, daughter Stephanie, her daughters Elle and Mila; son Scott, wife Talynn, their daughter Sadie; his brother-in-law Wayne Scott and wife Barbara; niece Alison Scott and son William, daughter Susannah; nephew Iain Scott, several cousins, and many dear friends.

Don will be remembered with love, and forever missed.
