
Donald Earl Davis
Dad was born on March 18th, 1936 in Meadow
Lake, Saskatchewan the fourth of five children for
Chris and Ruth Davis. They moved to Oliver, BC
where he went to school and lived for several years.
He met Audrey Lyseng and in 1962 they
were married in West Summerland. They had a
daughter, Patti. Dad took a job managing
a grocery store on Vancouver Island where we lived
for about 4 years. Another job opportunity came up,
working in the saw mill in Upper Fraser. That was
the beginning of his forestry career. Working his
way to manager, and was then transferred to High
Level where he worked until retirement.
Dad enjoyed nature and was an avid hunter and
fisherman. After retiring he moved to Likely, BC
and enjoyed going to Mexico most winters.
Dad became a grandpa in 1987 when my husband
Randal and I had our first child, Nicole and then
1989 when son Scott was born. In 2015, Nicole and
her husband made him a great grandpa with their
son Kyo.
His last few years were spent in Summerland.
He leaves to cherish his memory daughter Patti,
son-in-law Randal, grandchildren Nicole(Eiji),
Scott, great grandson Kyo and former wife Audrey
Davis. Also numerous nieces and nephews.
