
Carol Wynne Bernsten
Carol Wynne Bernsten, 83 years of age died peacefully on Wednesday night September 11, 2019 at Sunnybank Centre in Oliver B.C.
Carol, the youngest of two children was born on June 15, 1936 in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Benjamin and Anne Gibson.
Carol was married to Allen Bernsten in 1971, Allen loved Carol deeply and described her as the “wind beneath his wings”. She was mother to 4 sons and was predeceased by her eldest son Remy.
From early on in life Carol was a very spiritual person and she dedicated her life to God alongside Allen in 1972.
She lived up to her dedication by her love for and careful study of the Bible which she joyfully shared with everyone she could. Her loving and kind nature drew people to her, enabling her to share precious bible truths. Carol helped many to understand the answers to life’s biggest questions such as why God allows suffering and what happens to us when we die?
Carol was a loving and caring person which was evidenced by the many hours she spent volunteering and assisting ones with physical or mental impairments. She was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, always thinking of others first.
Surviving to cherish her loving memory are her husband Allen, her brother Dale, her 3 children, 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, a beautiful host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and an amazing group of close friends.
Carol will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her, and to know her was to love her.
A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 5503 Park Drive in 100 Mile House, BC on Saturday October 5, 2019 at 2:00 pm.
