On Saturday, October 24, 2020, Mr. Antonio Avila Raposo of Oliver passed away peacefully at McKinney Place Extended Care at the age of 92 years.

He was predeceased by his father Manuel Avila Raposo; mother Candida Adelaide Da Rosa and brothers Joao, Manuel, Serafim and Jose.

Antonio will be fondly remembered by his loving family including beloved wife Isabel; sister Maria Machado; sons Victor (Debbie) and Tony (Doris); daughter Linda Sykes (Jamie Grieve); grandchildren Jeremy (Sofia), Timothy (Breanne Hoover), Anthony (Melanie), Zachary, Christina, Caleb, Cole and Xavier; great-grandchildren Owen, Ethan and Bethany; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Over the years, Antonio worked as a blacksmith, carpenter at Moduline Industries and as an orchardist.

Antonio enjoyed traveling extensively to and from Pico, Azores and was a devoted member of the Catholic Church who looked forward to attending Mass and church functions on a regular basis.

A private family funeral mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church on Saturday October 31st followed by interment and committal at the Oliver Municipal Cemetery.
