Twelve teams including two from the South Okanagan participated in a weekend Novice hockey tournament held by the South Okanagan Minor Hockey Association in Osoyoos and Oliver.

The two local teams were South Okanagan Night Fury and South Okanagan Avengers.

We stopped by to see both teams in action and take some photos. For this age category, no one makes a big thing about final scores, but these up and coming youngsters — both boys and girls — took the competition seriously and showed off the skills they’ve been learning.
