My name is Emma Fernandes. I am Miss Desert Aire Realty. I am fifteen years old and in Grade 10. I attend Osoyoos Secondary School and have lived in Osoyoos my entire life. My favourite extracurricular activity is dance. After I graduate I hope to become a registered massage therapist and open my own spa. During my candidacy the most important thing I have learned is to speak in public with more confidence. The favourite things I have done in the past couple months have been learning self-defence, getting to go to my first pageant and becoming closer with my fellow candidates. I am so fortunate to have been able to participate in this program and know I will remember these experiences forever.
My name is Tianna Morgan. I am Miss Buy-Low Foods Osoyoos. I was born fifteen years ago in Penticton. I’m an outgoing 10th grader attending Osoyoos Secondary School. I’ve lived in Osoyoos for fourteen years with my mom, my dad and my younger brother. I love to act and make people laugh, as well as sing and try to dance. After high school, I plan on attending university to major in psychology and become a psychiatric nurse. During my candidacy, I was fortunate enough to be running with my two very good childhood friends. The Royalty Programme has given me many opportunities I never thought I would get the chance to do. It has improved my public speaking and made me more confident in who I am.
Hello my name is Bailey Toepfer. I am Miss Elks’ Lodge #436. I am 16 years old, a Grade 10 student attending Osoyoos Secondary School. When I have some free time I love to play soccer, draw, listen to country music and just hang out with my friends. My candidacy months were so much fun being with my fellow candidates. I will cherish these memories forever. I can now stand in front of a crowd and speak in public with confidence. I found this program to be so rewarding that I would recommend it to every young girl out there. It not only built up my confidence; it taught me respect for myself and my fellow peers.
