Paul Sizemore is Oliver’s newest director of development services.

The Town of Oliver announced that Sizemore will take over the duties of the town’s long-term planning, current planning subdivision and community development, and managing building inspection and bylaw enforcement effective June 2.

“I am excited to be joining the team at the Town of Oliver and to be moving into the community with my family. The Development Services department has some substantial projects to be completed in 2025 and I am looking forward to bringing them to fruition.”

Sizemore also commented that he looks forward to working with the team to deliver council’s strategic priorities.

“Mr. Sizemore brings 20 years’ experience in urban and regional planning. As the former Director of Community Development and Neighbourhood Services for the City of Fort Collins, and more recently the Executive Director for the North Front Range Metropolitan Planning Organization, Mr. Sizemore has the necessary experience and knowledge to join the Town of Oliver in this position, and we are excited that he will be joining our Team,” said Wayne Anderson, Oliver’s Chief Administrative Officer.

Sizemore replaced Tom Szalay, who served as Interim director of development services while they found a replacement for Randy Houle, former director of development services who left in September 2024.
