The Town of Osoyoos has retained the contract services of Nicolette Keith to perform the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) duties, the Times Chronicle has learned. The move follows the recent, sudden retirement of Jim Zakall from that role.
Keith, formerly the CFO of the Village of Keremeos comes with a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation and extensive CFO experience in both the municipal and private sector. Zackall, while serving as finance director for many years, did not have the CPA designation.
Rod Risling, Osoyoos Chief Administrative Officer said, “We are very pleased to have someone of this calibre leading our Financial Services team including the upcoming budget cycle until the position is advertised and filled permanently.”
Keith’s contract takes effect immediately.
