At least two people were taken to hospital this afternoon following a two-vehicle collision near the bridge north of Oliver at approximately 3:15 p.m.
The accident involved one pickup truck and a car. The driver of the car was apparently trapped and had to be extricated by firefighters.
The cause of the collision is unknown, and there was no report on the severity of injuries.
Four hours earlier a vehicle struck a telephone pole near the same location. The driver fled the scene.
