Lauren Meads with Houdini
The pending manager position vacancy was the key topic of discussion at a recent meeting of the SORCO board of directors.
About two months ago, executive manager Lauren Meads informed the board of her intention to leave the position after volunteering and working for SORCO for the past four years.
Lauren will continue working with the Burrowing Owl Conservation Society of BC.
The new manager appointed by the board will be Dale Belvedere.
Dale is no stranger to SORCO. For the past seven years, she has been actively involved as a SORCO volunteer in all aspects of raptor rehab operations. Dale has a strong medical and management background and has completed wildlife rehabilitation training courses.
