The BC Wildfire Service says the McKinney Road wildfire is currently being held.
Fire information officer Kyla Fraser told the Times-Chronicle that the two-hectare fire eight kilometres northeast of Oliver is not expected to grow at this time.
“It’s not anticipated to spread further,” she said.
The fire broke out on March 28.
Fraser said five crewmembers are on site actioning the fire.
The cause is still being investigated.
