Randy Bedard, the longtime owner of the Osoyoos Coyotes franchise, was the lucky winner of a contest sponsored by the Osoyoos Times to win a pair of tickets to the upcoming Canadian Football League contest between the B.C. Lions and Saskatchewan Roughriders on Oct. 3. The prize also includes a one-night stay at the Rosedale on Robson Hotel in downtown Vancouver. As a kind gesture, Bedard has decided to give away his prize by holding a raffle during the Coyotes’ season opener on Saturday, Sept. 26 at the Sun Bowl Arena against the Nelson Leafs. Fans can purchase raffle tickets for $2 apiece. All proceeds will go to the South Okanagan Disaster Relief Fund, which is assisting victims of the recent devastating wildfires in and around Osoyoos. A pair of tickets will also be awarded to one of our readers next week. (Richard McGuire photo)
