The Osoyoos Lawn Bowling Club’s ‘Team Osoyoos’ captured third place in the A Division at the fourth annual Ann and Helene Memorial Kelowna 5s tournament on the weekend of Aug. 24-26. This is the third year the Osoyoos club entered the tournament. Last year, Team Osoyoos finished at the top of the B Group (in fifth place overall). This year they bested nine other teams from the Interior to move up two notches into the A Division to cinch the third-place spot and a cash prize. The five members of the team played in singles, pairs, triples and fours against various teams from Kamloops, Vernon, Kelowna and Penticton. Way to go Team Osoyoos! Lawn Bowling is such a fun game, and not expensive to be a member of the club.
