They might not be ready for Hollywood, but there are some darn good actors within the Oliver Fire Department extended family.

That was proven on July 9 during a mock motor vehicle accident that was set up for training purposes.
A vehicle rolled over an embankment, ejecting one occupant who suffered a broken leg and head trauma. Another patient was in the rear of the vehicle, while another was not expected to live (“expecting” is a term used in a mass casualty incident where the patient may have passed away or is not expected to survive). The last occupant extricated himself from the vehicle and called 911.
The scenario gave firefighters the perfect opportunity to utilize various skills including rope rescue, auto extrication, first aid and patient care.
Other than the firefighters, the big stars of the show were the family members who acted as the injured patients.
