Together we can protect the Kettle River.

On his first day in office, Gordon Campbell’s Liberals cut 44 per cent from environmental protection programs.

The Campbell government supports Independent Power Producers (IPP), and wants you to pay more for electricity, with no planning.

There are 135 water licences already approved by the Liberals, another 68 projects are ready to be approved and hundreds more applications are moving forward.

The BC Liberals have sold a water licence to the Sea Breeze Power Corporation for the Kettle River, in the Christina Lake area.

Kettle River remains the second most endangered river in B.C.

The NDP will place a moratorium on IPP’s until we review our energy needs including: Cascade Falls Power Project on the Kettle River.

The BC NDP believes revenue generated by public power can be used for health care, education and many other services we need in the Boundary-Similkameen and B.C.

We cannot afford to allow Gordon Campbell to give away our rivers and streams to his friends and donors.

On May 12th, let’s take back B.C.
