A suspected impaired driver is being investigated by RCMP following a motor vehicle incident on Highway 97 north of Oliver this afternoon.
Firefighters were called to Enterprise Way where a vehicle reportedly left the roadway before 1:30 p.m. A fire official on site informed dispatch that the driver showed “definite signs of intoxication.”
Ambulance paramedics were initially dispatched to the scene, but were told by the patient that they weren’t needed, so the call was cancelled. However, paramedics were requested back by a fire official.
There was no report on the extent of injuries.
