The first of three prison cell pods at the Okanagan Correctional Centre is under construction. Shown here is the inside of Pod C, with prison modules stacked on top of each other (two cells per module).
Each cell has a sink, toilet and bunk beds, and not much of a window. The congregation area of each pod will include a workout area for inmates.
There will be a total of 378 cells when the facility is complete in the fall of 2016.
