An eight kilometre stretch of Hwy. 3 on Anarchist Mountain will be resurfaced this summer, along with several side roads, the provincial government announced last week.
The $2.3 million contract was awarded to Peters Bros. Construction Ltd. of Penticton.
The project is located 13 kilometres east of Osoyoos between Chapman Road and Wapiti Way. Work is expected to begin in May and be completed by the end of August.
The project includes 3.2 km of recycled asphalt paving on various side roads in the Anarchist Mountain area, including Chapman Road, Deerfoot Road, Hallis Road and Vineyard Road, Government Caucus Communications said in a news release.
