Construction to extend the water system to the east side of Hwy 97, starts next month.
The construction company TwinCon will start preparing for the project with locates, layout survey and equipment mobilization starting Thursday, February 18, 2021 before construction starts in March 2021.
Work will start along Highway 97 from the south and working towards Hummingbird Lane. Once the highway work is complete, work along the side roads will continue with water main installations. The duration of construction will last approximately 36 weeks.
The town of Osoyoos is reminding residents that they may experience periodic water disruptions as well as road use restrictions. They will try to issue any notices and impacts in advance, however, there could be times when disruptions happen unexpectedly.
