After the largest Half Corked Marathon to date in 2024 the Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country association is introducing a new simplified way, at a slight premium, to participate which skirts around the need to ballot for a ticket.

This year they are releasing a third of the 750 tickets available for the 2025 Half Corked Marathon, or 250 tickets at 2024 pricing in what are called “Skip the Lottery” tickets.

These tickets for the 2025 event will be released on Thursday, Aug. 1. at 10 a.m. These tickets offer full access to one of the country’s most hotly anticipated events, giving those who are keen to plan ahead an exclusive chance to secure their tickets ahead of the general public lottery that always runs in the fall.

“We wanted to offer the opportunity for participants to plan ahead and lock in a great deal for next year’s Half Corked Marathon. Many guests come from far and wide to attend and the Skip the Lottery opportunity allows them to lock in great deals on their travel plans,” said Jennifer Busmann, executive director of Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country.

The Half Corked Marathon is a unique 20km fun run through the vineyards and valleys of Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country where participants can enjoy winery stations along the route and a Finish Line Party with paella lunch, live music, and more wines. Creative costumes are encouraged, and prizes are awarded for the best costumes and skits.

Skip the Lottery tickets are available at 2024 pricing, $275 plus tax per person, and include registration, lunch, wine tastings, transportation, and a safe ride home.
