Don’t be afraid to try, and don’t worry about making mistakes because that’s what life is all about.

Hopefully the Grade 7s  from Tuc-el-Nuit Elementary School will heed this advice, and many other words of wisdom that teachers imparted today during graduation ceremonies.

Approximately 30 students were honoured this morning for passing Grade 7 and taking that bold step into Grade 8.

Teachers expressed great pride in the pupils and told them (once again) to be good, kind and engaged in life.

One teacher, Mr. Wilkie, recalled when he was in grade school and the time he never took advantage of something he wanted to do because he was afraid of what his friends would think. He regretted that moment and urged the students not to make that mistake.
