Hey kids, get your baskets ready for this Saturday’s Easter egg hunt in Oliver.

Parks and Recreation staff are gearing up for another big event in Oliver Community Park starting at 10 a.m.

Coordinator Kyle Fossett said parents are encouraged to pre-register their children by calling (250-498-4985) or dropping by the office.

How it works: Kids will fill their baskets with eggs and exchange them for bags of candy.

The start time for children up to four years of age is 10:20 a.m., while 5-9 year olds start at 10:40. Kids ages 10-12 will start their hunt at 11 a.m.

Fossett said entertainment includes a magic show, bouncy castle and a craft station.

He noted the candy has been donated by Oliver Family Grocery.

Fossett said they are preparing to host about 300 children who will scour the grounds in search of multi-coloured eggs.
