It appeared to be a record year for attendance at today’s Freak’n Farmer adventure race at Covert Farms.
More than 700 people took part in the obstacle race, which saw participants stacking barrels, flipping tractor tires, and crawling under barbed wire in the mud.
Costume-wearers turned some heads, particularly the team of Kaelan Covert, Eric Kwakernaak, Samuel Holinaty and Xelian Louw who were dressed in nylon from head to toe.
Other locals who took part were Oliver firefighter Scott Schaffrick and teammate Rob Knoll. There were even a pretend bride and her two bridesmaids from Winfield.
