The Oliver Fire Department was busy this afternoon securing a landing zone for a BC Ambulance helicopter.
The department was called to assist BC Ambulance with a patient transfer from South Okanagan General Hospital. The reason for the transfer was not reported.
Firefighters cleared a landing zone in a field beside the hospital so the helicopter could land safely.
