A fire gutted an RV on Tuesday morning displacing two adult residents

The Oliver Fire Department, RCMP and paramedics were on scene at 8:40 a.m. to discover the trailer fully engulfed in flames and the blaze was extinguished around 9 a.m.

Emergency social services were on scene assisting two adult males for smoke inhalation and Rob Graham, spokesperson for the Oliver Fire Department said a dog perished from smoke inhalation.

“There were two occupants living in that motor home who were able to exit from the motor home at the time. We arrived on scene to find it fully involved and (firefighters) were able to make quick work of knocking it down before it could spread to another motor home that was in proximity to another motor home,” Graham said.

The cause of the fire was cooking on a stove in the trailer, Graham said.
