A late morning fire damaged part of a house in Oliver today, but no injuries were reported.

Firefighters, police and ambulance were called to the 5900 block of Harmony Crescent off Pine Ridge Drive before noon when flames consumed part of a home.

Fire Chief Bob Graham told the Times-Chronicle that nobody was around when they arrived and no injuries were reported to them. He said the cause is still undetermined.

Oliver RCMP Sgt. Don Wrigglesworth said the home is well known to police and the Osoyoos Indian Band as a “problem residence.”
