It’s been over three decades since Osoyoos’ anticipated Christmas Lite-Up started, and it’s back for its 31st year but with a few changes.

Festivities kick off on Friday, Nov. 29 with a merchant open house on Main Street where businesses will offer specials and refreshments.

Then from 6 to 6:30 p.m., the Okanagan International Chorus sets the mood with Christmas carols before the Santa Parade on Main Street at 6:30 p.m.

Osoyoos Secondary School grads are hosting their annual Santa’s Night Out fundraiser at the Sonora Community Centre from 6 to 9 p.m.

The following day, Santa will be at Campo Marina for breakfast and photos from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. The Kiwanis are also hosting their annual Christmas Craft Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Osoyoos Legion.

Different this year, the Smitty’s Toys for Tots to Teens drive is being bumped back a week to Dec. 6. Get a free breakfast with a new, unwrapped children’s toy or cash donation for the Kiwanis’ Share the Christmas Spirit program.
