With flooding threats declining the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) has rescinded evacuation alerts for 131 properties north of Oliver.
The evacuation alert issued on April 16 included properties in the vicinity of Covert Place, Horsetail Road, Island Road, Pampas Grass Way, Park Rill Road, River Road, Secrest Hill Road, Sitka Road, Sportsmen’s Bowl Road, Test Orchard Road, Wheatgrass Road, Highway 97 and Park Rill Creek.
The RDOS said that “the threat of flooding has been reduced and the potential danger to life, health and property has diminished.”
Some properties in the area still remain on evacuation order.
