STAYING OUT OF THE WORLD HOCKEY ASSOCIATION IS THE RIGHT CHOICE

Osoyoos town council made the right decision last week when it decided to keep the World Hockey Association out of Osoyoos for the upcoming season.
Even though Gary Scott, who recently returned to the league to take up a vice president position after leaving in 2006, pledged to make some changes to the troubled organization, council heeded the calls of a community fed up with the bumbling that came with the association's leadership in the past few years.
Maybe Scott will help make the league run better, but Osoyoos has made the proper choice in standing back and letting him prove himself before signing up for another potentially embarrassing year.
