Oliver town council has repealed first and second reading to a zoning amendment bylaw to facilitate the subdivision of 10 duplex lots in the Meadows Drive area.

At the Feb. 28 meeting, Director of Development Services Randy Houle said the developer has withdrawn the application and has now decided to proceed with single-family lots.

During a recent public hearing, some residents expressed concern about the original duplex proposal slated for the area of Bunchgrass, Bentgrass and Junegrass Avenue.

The concerns consisted of increased density, traffic congestion, and the proposal not being compatible with the existing neighbourhood.
