The Osoyoos Concert Series Committee put on their final show of the 2019/2020 season, the Company B Jazz Band, at the Osoyoos Community Theatre on Feb. 22. The show was the first to feature the upgrades to the sound system, including two sub woofers installed under the stage and two sets of speakers.
Osoyoos Concert Series Committee member Chris Stodola said the sound in the theatre will be able to handle high volume better and improve the experience for concert goers in every seat, as well, it will doubly benefit the Osoyoos Secondary School who share the theatre with the community.
The new equipment installed last week was funded by proceeds from the concerts the non-profit has put on over the past dozen years, with $16,000 gifted from the Osoyoos Concert Series Committee. The committee wanted to highlight and thank the following members: Jocelyn Merit, Donna Kelso, Pat Philpott, Karen Douziech, Lorraine Leigh, Ted Osborne, Chris Stodola, Richard Douziech and Ron Leigh.
