The darling four-year-old Chloe Kroeger, who loved to dance, has passed away, leaving a community to mourn but cherish her memory.
Chloe lost her battle with rhabdomyosarcoma, a form of cancer in the soft tissues.
After seeing how much fun she had at a dance recital fundraiser in Oliver on May 24, parents Jon and Gina Kroeger made a “gut-wrenching” decision.
“We were given a choice, we could keep going with the treatment, which was getting more aggressive and might prolong her life, or take her off treatment and let her be a kid and do what she loves,” Jon said.
On Gina’s Facebook page, several people expressed their heartache. One person wrote: “No parent should have to lose their children. Someday joy will come back and only beautiful memories of your precious Chloe will linger in a special place in your heart forever.”
The girl in the pink dress will always be remembered for her courage.
