Almost three months of hard work is definitely paying off for Martha Collins as she shot the best round of her life this past weekend.

Collins, who has taken on the challenge of practising hard this spring and summer in an attempt to greatly improve her game and lower her handicap, shot a round of 54 only a week after shooting 56.

“That was the best round of my life,” said Collins proudly. “It’s all starting to kick in after several weeks of frustration.

“For the first time in my life I am actually visualizing all my shots before hitting them and while not everyone goes exactly where I want it to, many of them are and it feels great.”

Collins said thinking about her shots and slowing down her swing have made a dramatic difference and she has more confidence in her golf swing than ever before.

She hopes her recent good play will continue during practice sessions and her competitive round this weekend.
