The 90 members of the Okanagan Motorcycle Riders Association (OMRA) held a raffle over the past few weeks to raise money for the Okanagan Similkameen Neurological Society. Tickets are sold with the grand prize being a brand new motorcycle. Some of the proceeds from the raffle are also donated to community organizations. Last week, OMRA president Rod Young presented a $400 cheque to Pastor Phil Johnson of the Osoyoos Baptist Church. The church operates the Osoyoos Food Bank and the $400 will assist the food bank’s annual Christmas Hamper program, which ensures families can enjoy a great Christmas dinner. (Denice Brachmann photo)
