The South Okanagan Chamber of Commerce has a new leader and he’s inviting the business community out to network.

New chamber president Alberto Veintimilla is encouraging members of the Chamber of Commerce, or anyone interested in becoming a member, to attend the upcoming Business Promoting Business event from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on March 13 at Interior Savings.

“Business Promoting Business evenings are the place to network within the South Okanagan business community,” he said. “The atmosphere is casual, and great connections can be made over a glass of local wine.”

The event gives local business people the opportunity to connect with their peers in a casual environment and over a glass of local wine – networking in true Okanagan style.

Businesses are encouraged to bring a door prize, and with that door prize they get the opportunity to promote their own business to the whole group.

“The opportunity to make key connections is invaluable,” Veintimilla said.

The evening is open to Chamber members and future Chamber members, meaning that any and all local businesses are invited and encouraged to attend.

No business is too big or too small.

There will also be guest speakers from Interiors Savings, and the event is the last opportunity to network before the Chamber’s upcoming AGM on April 10.
