A homeowner on Harmony Crescent lost a building under construction on Sunday during an early morning fire.

The Oliver Fire Department was called to 5972 Harmony Crescent (off Black Sage Road) where a shed or garage under construction was fully engulfed in flames.

Fire department spokesman Rob Graham said they knocked the fire down quickly and kept the flames contained to the one structure. The nearby house did not sustain any damage, he noted.

“Had it been during the day, I’m sure we would have had a grass fire to deal with,” Graham said.

No cause has been determined.
