Editor:
I would like to briefly comment on a beautiful jewel we discovered in your City; namely, your museum.
My two brothers from the Lower Mainland and myself from the Kootenays met in Osoyoos for a sibling get-together.
We had a wonderful time in your City visiting various points of interest and enjoying your hospitality.
In our travels, we were told that a “must see” was your local museum.
However, finding it was a bit of a task.
I think your City could do a much better job on the signage for the museum’s location.
But once there, we were impressed with the friendly and helpful staff and the nature and variety of the exhibits.
I think the citizens of Osoyoos should be very proud of their museum, and the staff members such as Don Chadderton who give their time to make this a fine museum.
Pity these excellent exhibits have to be housed in such a shabby building.
The building may have been “state of the art” in 1954 but not in 2009.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the City could find a new, properly ventilated home in Osoyoos for this jewel of a museum.
Thank you Osoyoos for a wonderful sibling get together.
