Osoyoos Music in the Park continues its summer run with popular Okanagan-based band Brother Down, on stage at the highly anticipated event this weekend.

Brother Down has a well-earned reputation for their onstage chemistry, tight arrangements and crowd-pleasing song selections.

The band augments their musicianship with three- and four-part harmonies with heir music covering a wide variety of genres, including rock, funk, R&B, and popular songs spanning the past six decades.

“We are delighted to have Brother Down join us for this year’s event,” said the Osoyoos Amigos, the nonprofit group that produces the Osoyoos Music in the Park concert series. “Their music resonates with so many people, and we know that their performance will be a highlight of the summer.”

The event will take place at Gyro Park in Osoyoos, with Brother Down scheduled to take the stage at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 2. Admission is free.

“Music lovers are invited to come and enjoy a night of exceptional music and a beautiful outdoor setting by the lake,” the Osoyoos Amigos said. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and a picnic dinner if you like or pick one up at one of our local restaurants or food trucks. The adjacent Senior Activity Centre also has a BBQ from 5-6 p.m.

Follow Osoyoos Music in the Park on social media or visit their website for updates on the lineup schedule and any changes due to weather. Any changes will be indicated by 4 p.m. on the concert day.
