A craft brewery could be coming to the Watermark complex at the former site of Heatstroke Cycle and the Juice Box smoothie bar.
Council moved forward with a zoning amendment that would allow for a brewery to operate out of the downtown storefront property on Park Place.
Mayor Sue McKortoff asked if the storefront was large enough for a brewery.
“It doesn’t look like that big a place to make it and store it and sell it,” she said.

Town staff have not yet received a floor plan for the business senior planner Don McArthur said.
“They believe they will have the space to do a small craft brewery.”
With the Juice Box shop closed and Heatstroke Cycle relocating at the end of the month, developers plan to combine the two spaces into one.
Council voted to grant first and second reading to the amendment. A public hearing will take place on Oct. 7 at 4 p.m. in council chambers.
