Based on the direction and recommendation of public health officials, and out of care and concern for the public and staff, the Okanagan Regional Library will be closing all branches effective tomorrow (March 17).
Michal Utko, director of communications, said all book drops will be closed. “Please enjoy the library materials you have out right now. Don’t worry; you won’t be charged fines or penalties.”
All library online resources will still be available and can be accessed remotely using your library pass. Visit orl.bc.ca for a full list of available resources.
“As you know, this is a constantly evolving situation. We will continue to work closely with health officials and are committed to keeping you up-to-date as things evolve and change,” Utko said.
He noted it is a critical time when we all must work together to ensure everyone’s well-being and mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
