An accident north of Okanagan Falls has closed Highway 97 in both directions. Lengthy delays are expected according to Drive BC.
The incident was caused by a lumber truck that overturned sometime around 3 p.m.
All lanes are blocked one kilometre north of Okanagan Falls and traffic control measures are in effect.
An estimated time of opening not available as of 4:40 p.m. according to Drive BC.
All Southbound traffic is being re-routed at Kaleden to Highway 3A. All northbound traffic to be re-routed via Highway 3 in Osoyoos.
The next update from DriveBC is expected at 7:30 p.m.
