The BC Wildfire Service is reporting that the McKinney Road wildfire is now under control. That means the fire has received sufficient suppression action to ensure no further spread.
The fire broke out eight kilometres northeast of Oliver on Sunday, March 28 and grew to two hectares in size.
Today, a three-person crew is patrolling the fire looking for hot spots near the perimeter.
No structures were threatened during the fire, and the cause is still under investigation.
