Don’t leave fires unattended.
That’s the message Oliver firefighters often find themselves conveying as they respond to burning complaints.
On Tuesday morning at 5:40 a.m. the department responded to a small campfire that was left unattended on McKinney Road.
Spokesman Rob Graham said the fire area was small, approximately 50 by 100 feet. It was discovered near the bridge by the Osoyoos Indian Band Office.
