A 21-year-old Oliver man is facing a multiple charges after the search of a home following an alleged domestic assault turned up a firearm and illicit drugs.

Oliver RCMP say officers responded to a report of a domestic assault at an Oliver residence on May 6. During the investigation, officers applied for a warrant to search the residence.

The search of the residence resulted in police seizing a loaded hand gun, brass knuckles, illicit drugs and a substantial amount of cash, RCMP said.

According to RCMP the Oliver man, who police have not named, is facing a “number of charges.”

Charges have yet to be laid, RCMP told the Osoyoos Times on Monday (May 11).
