A fire burning northeast of Osoyoos visible from town is a controlled burn, says BC Wildfire Service.
Burning eight kilometres up the Gillard Forest Service Road and first spotted Sunday morning, the fire is under control and conducted by industry personnel, BC Wildfire stated.
Open burning is currently permitted within the Kamloops Fire Centre.
