A new townhome development is proposed for a small property on 92nd Avenue.
At their Aug. 19 meeting, Osoyoos town council gave first and second reading to a zoning amendment that will allow for a six-townhome strata development at 9111 92nd Ave.
The 0.38-hectare property is currently zoned as single family residential, and is proposed to change to high density residential.
“Encouraging multi-family development is an important part of ensuring our community continues to develop in a sustainable fashion,” senior planner Don McArthur told council.
The public is invited to share any comments or concerns on the development at a public hearing in council chambers on Sept. 16 at 4 p.m.
