A pedestrian accident, a rollover and a complaint about a man with a firearm kept Oliver RCMP busy last weekend.

On June 17 at 7:10 am Oliver RCMP received a report of a single vehicle rollover in the 7000 block of Highway 97. Police attended and the driver had already been taken to hospital by ambulance. No extrication was required, according to the fire department.

Criminal charges are not being pursued in the matter.

Shortly after 8 am on June 17, the Keremeos RCMP responded to an incident on the Fairview-Cawston Road approximately 5 km east of Cawston.

The complaint related to an individual with a firearm.

The Fairview-Cawston Road was blocked off for approximately three  hours while police responded to the incident.

Officers from Oliver, Osoyoos, Keremeos and Penticton detachments, along with the police K9 unit from Penticton were engaged in bringing this incident to a conclusion.   

At 12:30 pm, a male was taken into custody without incident. No charges are pending.

On June 18 at 11:40 am Oliver RCMP received a report of a pedestrian struck at Similkameen Avenue and Highway 97.

Police attended and spoke to all parties involved. The driver was issued a violation ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian.

The pedestrian was transported to hospital by ambulance with undetermined injuries.
