As a past member of council I remain impressed with Mr. Micka’s ability to ‘uncover’ continuing conspiracy between Town council, Tom Szalay and staff; however, his rhetorical comments pose an important question. (See June 7 edition of the Oliver Chronicle.)

If circumstances are as dire as he believes, why do the citizens of Oliver continue to elect the same people to council?

By default he implies the majority of our electorate are stupid! I state that because elections are a democratic process and if those same members of council are re-elected, the electorates’ judgment is obviously defective.

The only other conclusion is that Russia has been interfering with elections in the Town of Oliver for several years.
