The senior boys SOSS basketball team pummelled Seaton Thursday night 106-50 and head into the semi-finals tonight against Summerland in the valley championships.
While Thursday night’s outing was easy for the Hornets, who led 60-22 at the half, tonight’s game won’t be because Summerland is a tough team to beat. But the Hornets have done i t before.
Head coach Mo Basso said there is a really good chance that the Hornets will win the valleys this year.
High scorer in the game against Seaton was Manjot Dhaliwal with 34 points. Gurshan Dhaliwal poured in 18, while Manveer Brar added 16.
Other scores in the tournament: Maggie defeated Westsyde 46-43, Sahali beat Fulton 67-52, and Summerland defeated PVSS 67-39.
Tonight’s game against Summerland begins at 8:45 pm. If the Hornets win, they will play in the final Saturday night at 8:45 pm.
