Oliver RCMP is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing senior.

The Oliver RCMP are asking the public’s help in locating an elderly man that went missing on Saturday.

Near the A&W at 6:20 p.m. on November 21, an elderly male was reported being confused and asking a person to call his wife for him. Before more information was received, the male left and has not been seen since, according to police.

The male is believed to be Oliver resident Geza Szajko, 81. He was wearing a green hat, red/brown plaid jacket, and possibly driving a 2011 grey Ford Ranger, BC licence #DK1685. Szajko has not been seen by family since 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Sergeant Blaine  Gervais from the Oliver RCMP said the man may be suffering from dementia, as his wife has been deceased for the past year. “It is unknown if he is being afflicted by other medical issues,” Gervais said.
